Let’s Go: Jonah and Liv: Pleasantville FCA

Full Video Interview (scroll down for the Sunday morning teaser version)

First Responders Bible Study

Jonah Schumacher and Olivia Anthony have spent their senior year of high school co-leading the Pleasantville chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). For their last event, they decided they wanted to plan an outdoor community worship service. With the support of their FCA sponsor Coach Mack Jorth, and the help of Pleasantville Youth Initiative, they shared the event around the community and social media inviting everyone in Pleasantville. When the day came, heavy rain changed their plans.

The newly rebuilt Pleasantville Christian Church (having burned down in 2020), opened their doors to host the teens’ event. This was a beautiful moment for the entire community!

The event was well attended by people from many different church backgrounds. Jonah and Olivia organized the entire event, asking our very own Matt Van Sant to help lead worship along with some of the Celebrate Worship team. Local youth group leader Mike Fust donated all of his sound equipment to be used for the event as well.

The teens did an incredible job planning and preparing, but also preparing in prayer. God’s spirit was beautifully present.
